• State-Mandated Tax Exemption for Residential Purchases: Order a new residential retractable awning or re-cover during the Massachusetts Tax-Free Weekend, priced at $2,500 or less, and save the 6.25% sales tax. Purchases must be paid in full between Aug 8-9, 2026.
• Dorchester’s 6.25% Discount for Residential Orders: If your residential retractable awning or re-cover exceeds $2,500, Dorchester Awning will pay your Massachusetts sales tax on any new orders approved and paid in full during the tax-free period.
