Dorchester Awning Company Introduces Innovative Aluminum Extrusions for Enhanced Awning Durability and Versatility

Kingston, MA – May 1, 2024 – Dorchester Awning Company LLC, a Massachusetts leading full-service awning and shade products company, is pleased to announce the introduction of Kingston Engineered Aluminum Extrusions ® to its fixed frame awning products.
The new aluminum extrusions were designed by our sister company specifically for use in fixed frame awnings. These extrusions will be made for us by the leading area-based aluminum extrusion mill. We retain the proprietary design rights to the new extrusions.

These engineered aluminum extrusions and our deep welding expertise will provide a new alternative to the traditional steel-based awning”. The aluminum frames will provide exceptional corrosion resistance yet maintaining strength and structure. With our engineered aluminum frame, customers would benefit from corrosion resistance, longer life and would be able to change coverings based on name changes etc. without replacing the understructure frame.
